The Liberty Dog Network was founded in March 2022 and is a foster-based rescue. We have rescued dogs from various shelters across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties.
Our mission is to help the dogs in the overcrowded shelters have a second chance at having a wonderful life. Shelters across America are euthanizing because they are out of space and the Southern California region is at the top of that list.
HALO
This adorable 2 year-old female german shepherd dog came from the Downey County shelter in Los Angeles, California. She had a fractured leg that has since healed. She has been given a clean bill of health from the vet and is ready to meet her forever family.
Halo is a petite 65 lbs, spayed, full grown, great temperament, and great with other dogs, and kids.
LIBERTY
Liberty is around 1 year old and a Husky type dog. She takes some time to trust humans but is the absolute sweetest companion when she does. She has a fondness for toys and doesn't tear them up. She requires consistent exercise and will do best in a home with at least a 5 foot fence and another dog to play with. Liberty is great during car rides and walks well on a leash. She needs to gain
BART
Bart is a male pit bull type dog who has been with the rescue the longest. Bart is around 60 lbs and neutered. He has been to extensive training and ultimately needs to live with someone who is familiar with this breed. He loves his toys, and his people but will have to live as an only dog or with another balanced female. He had a few lumps and bumps removed in December 2023 and the vet report
BUDDHA
Buddha is around 7 years old, neutered, and about 75 pounds. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. In the summer of 2023 he was rescued from the Devore shelter in San Bernardino County after being put on the dreaded euthanasia list. Buddha is currently in a boarding situation and would love to find his forever home. He gets along with most dogs pending an appropriate introduction, femal
MILO
Milo is a 2 year-old German Shepherd mix that weighs around 75 lbs. up to date on his shots, and very dog social. He comes as a package deal (his brother Otis). We would love to find these two Riverside survivors their forever family here in Southern California. Their ideal family is one that has space to roam, and lots of activities to join in on.
OTIS
Otis is Milo's brother and they must be rehomed together. Both were rescued from the Riverside shelter in April of 2023. Otis is also around 75 lbs and neutered and up to date on his shots. They have been socialized and are ready to find their family.
